Rescheduled Author Visit

Our apologies, author Susan Aguilo was unable to present at our school on October the 10th.  The author will reschedule her visit to our school at a later date.  As soon as we know the rescheduled date we will share it with Pine Grove families.

  1. Hi Greg, sorry that my comment here does not relate to Susan Aguilo as I don't know how to post to you otherwise. I would appreciate if you could post something about the EQAO scores in which Pine Grove did quite well. I was disappointed that the graph on the back page that was suppose to compare the school's score with the board and province's scores but was left empty. That information is available on the EQAO website which shows Pine Grove PS did very well. I was hoping you can post that result here as it wasn't on the actual papers itself.

Meet the Teacher & Curriculum Night

Pine Grove Public School will host our annual Meet the Teacher & Curriculum Night on Wednesday October 3 from 6 to 8 pm. From 6 to 7 pm students and families will have the opportunity to enjoy pizza (all orders through School Cash Online -which will be available by Friday Sept. 28) and social interaction with staff and families in our community. Beginning at 7 pm teachers will conduct 20 minute presentations on curriculum programming and student expectations. There will be a 10 minute transition time and from 7:30-7:50, a repeat presentation. This allows parents with more than one child to visit two classrooms.

The Secret Life of Riley K. Performance for Grades 4-8 - *NEW DATE - FEB 28TH*

Pine Grove is excited to invite our Junior and Intermediate students to Education Arts Canada's brand new performance, The Secret Life of Riley K, right in our very own gymnasium on Wednesday, February 28th, 2018. "12 year-old Riley K, is a clever, ambitious girl who strives for a perfect life.  But the prospect of giving a big speech leads to a perfect mess!  She is surprised to learn that her sick stomach was not the flu, but anxiety.  Riley discovers she isn’t alone with these challenges and that help is nearby."

"This beautifully-produced, curriculum-integrated show, stimulates real discussion and learning amongst students.  The Secret Life of Riley K was created by Juno award-winning musical writers, Judy and David Gershon, and by Canadian director and playwright, Ali Joy Richardson, along with guidance from a team of mental health specialists.  It was all made possible with the assistance of the Ontario Trillium Foundation."
