In an effort to keep students safe and keep school traffic flowing, we are sending out an update to inform our parents and guardians about our Kiss and Ride drop off and pick up procedures.
The Bus Loop is off limits to parents and guardians that drive their children to school each day between 8 am to 8:35 am. Pylons will be placed at the entrance of the bus loop to prevent access. This is important as buses have priority in our driveway loop. They have many runs scheduled after Pine Grove drop off and hence must stay on time and enter and exit as per their schedule. At times, buses are late arriving for a variety of reasons and the bus loop must remain clear of vehicles until well after 8:25 am.
The Kiss and Ride area is designated as the west side of the loop along the curb lane. Please pull as close to the curbing as possible, have your child (ren) get out and walk along the sidewalk to the school yard. Please depart promptly so that other vehicles are able to use this space too. Pa…
World Water Day| FUNDRAISER Dear parent(s)/guardian(s), World Water Day is an annual event that takes place on March 22nd. This event brings awareness to the importance of fresh water in our global community. The Me to WeCommittee and the Eco Clubwill be selling Rafiki bracelets and reusable water bottles from Wednesday, March 22nd to Tuesday, March 28th. Options Available: Water Series Rafiki bracelets (6 varieties) - $12 each Pine Grove Eco water bottles - $7 each S’well water bottles - $43 (265mL) or $51 (500mL) each Junior/Intermediate (upstairs classes) - a table will be set up outside of the intermediate pod. Primary (downstairs classes) - Eco Club students will be coming around each class to sell. All proceeds from eco water bottle will be donated to Wateraid Canada.
